GGC5K is back

The Gaborone Golf Club 5KM is a weekly timed park run style event. .

The run will happen every Monday at the Gaborone Golf Club as long as the CV-19 regulations allow.

Because of CV-19 regulations you must register to take part.

You can run anytime from 1645hrs onwards as long as you are back by 1830hrs or dusk whichever is earlier.

The run is FREE to enter and currently not timed.

The route is not marked but for those of you that don’t know it, you can follow the route voice prompts by downloading the RunGo app and searching for GGC5K.

We have limited entries to ensure we don’t have more than 50 runners on the course at any one time so register early to avoid disappointment.

The Gaborone Golf Club 5KM is a weekly timed park run style event.

We encourage families and children to join. It is not a race but you will be able to compare your times to your previous efforts, those in your age group as well as everyone else that is taking part.

The standard route is marked and 5.5kms long and there is an option to run around the enclosure twice which gives you an 8.5kms run, also marked. We have also mapped out a 12.5kms and 21.7kms run for those looking to run even further.  Neither of the two longest runs are marked yet, but you can download the GPX files from here to use with your GPS enabled device.  Feel free to cycle the 21.7kms route too. We can time all these distances separately so just choose your distance during registration.

We all about community, health and putting our bodies first.

There is a saying we like “Run to add days to your lives but also run to add life to your days”.

The sign up link will take you to the Webscorer page. Webscorer is who we use to register and time our runs. If you don’t have an account with Webscorer, register and sign in to your account. You can then sigh up to the run.
